ABSTRACT
The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between collective bargaining and organizational productivity. The study seeks to examine the relationship between compensation packages and organizational productivity, to examine the relationship between workers right and organizational productivity, to examine the relationship between employee right and organizational productivity and to examine the relationship between arbitration and organizational productivity. The study was designed to focus on Port Harcourt, metropolis Rivers State with special reference to Etisalat. A Self-designed questionnaire on collective bargaining and organizational productivity was used for the collection of data from the respondents in Etisalat Nigeria, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The instrument used in for data collection is interview and questionnaire method which are seen as being more effective and stable for a research of this nature. The population of study is one hundred (100). The Yaro Yemen’s formulae was used to determine the sample size of 80. The basic tool used to test the hypothesis was the Chi-Square (X2) test and data were also analysed.Findings revealed amongst others that there is a significant relationship between collective bargaining and organizational productivity. Based on the findings, it was recommended that collective bargaining should be given prominence in the determination of employment conditions in the private sectors. Secondly, Etisalat now 9mobile should create an atmosphere of coorperation and collaboration as it enhances organizational productivity.
